THE ART OF ART
For my work cycle “The Art of Art”, I created art works by using generative AI that, in terms of “design”, correspond to the common ideas and wishes of most art lovers about what art is and what it should look like. The preferred characteristics include: Visually attractive and colorful, opulent, epic narratively entertaining and well composed and of course with references to different eras of art history. If one views this series of works as a segment of my stylistically variable liberalism, then this work cycle, which is otherwise specifically aimed to the commercial art market, results in a further stylistic component of the avant-garde style variability, which is now further fueled by the application of generative AI.
MICHAEL JACKSON - AS NEVER SEEN BEFORE
With my series of works “MICHAEL JACKSON - As Never Seen Before” I want to use generative AI to show the full extent of a person's inner conflict. Between a tragic person and an oversized artist, between a man and a woman and being an eternal child and adult man. Between very black and very white. And a real pop star and a shadowy ghost. In impressive images that have never been seen before. Sometimes fragile, sometimes heroically strong, and never in the familiar Michael Jackson outfit, but always as a kind of psychogram of a withdrawn person about whom not much was known to the outside world. Who lived shielded and withdrawn in his own world of a Neverland. As a stylistic device I used a crippled body to make Michael's injuries to his soul visible to the outside world. It is my homage to one of the most multifaceted people of all time.
MY HOMAGE TO JEFF KOONS, THE BRILLIANT GRANDMASTER OF KITSCH
These of my artworks, which do look like having been executed by the great Art Star Jeff Koons himself, I have created by using artificial intelligence (AI). Remarkable about my works shown here is, that AI enabled me to achieve an actual further development of the latest version of Koon's work. So, AI is really respectable, seems to think forward and actually develops a sense of aesthetic values.
Koons is recognized for his work dealing with popular culture and his sculptures depicting everyday objects, including balloon animals produced in stainless steel with mirror-finish surfaces. He lives and works in New York City. His works have sold for substantial sums, including at least two record auction prices for a work by a living artist: US$58.4 million for Balloon Dog (Orange) in 2013 and US$91.1 million for Rabbit in 2019. Critics come sharply divided in their views of Koons. Some view his work as pioneering and of major art-historical importance. Others dismiss his work as kitsch.
